Ridmi Magazine, o revistă creată de un grup de liceeni români, dă șansa elevilor să vorbească despre experiențele problematice de la școală și modul în care acestea i-au influențat. Prin articolele lor, vor să asambleze o imagine din ce în ce mai clară a problemelor din sistemul educațional, dar și să încurajeze elevii să-și facă vocile auzite și să ia inițiativă pentru a schimba lucrurile care îi deranjează. Pentru că și noi credem în vocea elevilor și vrem să contribuim activ la îmbunătățirea educației lor, am fost curioși să aflăm mai multe despre povestea din spatele Ridmi și i-am luat un interviu Ruxandrei, fondatoarea revistei.
Dacă ar fi să descrii inițiativa proiectului şi mesajul său cu un singur cuvânt, care ar fi acela?
Probabil ar fi problemă, pentru că se leagă și de apariția revistei, și de direcția ei. Orice proiect se naște din dorința de a rezolva o problemă, deci și Ridmi a apărut așa. Iar problema pe care noi încercăm să o rezolvăm e faptul că prea multe probleme trec neobservate în sistemul educațional românesc. Prin poveștile elevilor, vrem să le aducem la suprafață.
Cum influenţează experienţa ta personală în cadrul sistemului de învățământ ideea revistei?
Când am început liceul și am trecut prin mai multe experiențe extrașcolare care m-au învățat să gândesc critic, am început să îmi analizez parcursul educațional și mi-am dat seama cât de multe aspecte problematice ale școlii m-au influențat fără să conștientizez asta. Am realizat că îmi era frică să-mi pun întrebări sau să mă îndepărtez de răspunsuri absolute pentru că mulți dintre profesorii mei vedeau această smerenie intelectuală ca pe o jignire. Am realizat că eram în clasa a șasea când profesoara de geografie ne-a pus un videoclip anti-avort și că nu m-am gândit până foarte târziu că nu eram de acord cu modul de gândire pe care îl propaga. Și conștientizând toate lucrurile astea, m-am gândit că mai mulți elevi au trecut prin experiențe asemănătoare, și că ar trebui să le identifice și să se gândească cum i-au influențat – să aibă o imagine mai clară a propriei identități, să își evalueze și reevalueze valorile și să știe ce probleme vor sa rezolve.
Care este principalul scop al revistei?
Aș zice că revista are două scopuri principale. Primul se leagă foarte mult de ce vorbeam mai devreme, adică vrem să încurajăm elevii să devină mai conștienți de influența experiențelor din școală asupra lor, și ei pot face asta încercând să-și scrie propria poveste sau citind poveștile altor elevi. Această conștientizare e importantă pentru o mai bună auto-cunoaștere, dar și pentru că e punctul de plecare către soluționarea problemelor de la școală care te afectează – dacă nu știi ce te deranjează, nu știi nici cum să schimbi chestia asta. Și al doilea scop ar fi o schimbare la nivel macro în educație. Pentru că noi adunăm mai multe povești personale, putem picta o imagine destul de complexă a problemelor din sistemul de învățământ, iar astfel putem contribui la o schimbare informată.
Care crezi că e o problemă comună regăsită în experienţele elevilor? Observi un front comun în poveștile împărtășite pe blog care te pune pe gânduri?
Până acum, am primit foarte multe povești din partea elevilor care au fost victime ale bullying-ului. Și ce e îngrijorător aici e că, în foarte multe cazuri, profesorii lor erau ignoranți față de acest fenomen, ori erau chiar parte din el. Mi se pare că ar trebui să existe mult mai multă atenție direcționată către astfel de micro-agresiuni, mai ales dacă vin exact din partea oamenilor care ar trebui să le oprească. Și cred că Ridmi e un pas înainte aici – chiar dacă se vorbește mult despre bullying la nivel general, mi se pare că oamenilor o să le pese mai mult de asta dacă citesc o perspectiva personală a unui copil care a trecut prin asta – o poveste care îi trece prin mai multe instanțe și stări.
Ce căutaţi cel mai important în confesiunile elevilor? Ce element căutaţi să fie mereu prezent?
Cum spuneam și mai devreme, punem foarte mare accent pe perspectiva personală a fiecărui articol. Încercăm să ne îndepărtăm cât mai mult de articole generale, care vorbesc despre o problema dar nu arată cum a influențat acea problema elevul respectiv, cum s-a simțit atunci și ce crede despre asta acum. Și e destul de greu să scrii un articol personal, pentru că asta implică vulnerabilitate, față de care oricine are o aversiune naturală. Dar elementul ăsta personal ni se pare important ca să înțelegi tu mai bine cum te raportezi la ceea ce scrii și ca să-i faci și pe ceilalți să simtă și să înțeleagă mai bine ce vrei să transmiți.
Cum se pot implica elevii în iniţiativa voastră?
Orice elev (sau fost elev) care vrea să-și spună povestea o poate face dacă completează formularul de pe site-ul nostru. Dacă îți place să scrii, poți să ne trimiți un articol făcut de tine. Dacă vrei să scrii dar nu ești sigur de unde să începi, poți să colaborezi cu un redactor care să te ajute să-ți structurezi ideile. Iar dacă nu ți se pare că te pricepi la scris, dar ai o poveste de transmis, poți participa la un interviu cu noi și îți vom scrie noi povestea. Avem abordarea asta pentru că nu ni se pare că pasiunea sau talentul pentru scris ar trebui să împiedice pe cineva din a-și face vocea auzită. Pe lângă asta, vom deschide în toamnă și recrutări pentru echipa de redactori, Marketing și PR, deci stay tuned!
